Pumpkin Run

Last Saturday, we kicked off the weekend with the 8th Annual Pumpkin Run for Le Bonheur!  

Our Tigers for Le Bonheur Team had a great time and raised a good deal of money!  Thank you to all our friends and family who donated ... thank you so much!

We had a great time walking with Lauren Ashley, Parker, Nonna, Dada and our friends the Spences.  Mimi and Uncle Bradley were sick, so we really missed our St. Louis clan.  Uncle Steven and Aunt Dessa ran a half marathon in Murfreesboro, TN - Vadessa's first half marathon - Woo Hoo!  So, we missed them as well.  Mrs. Lindsey, Aunt Fran's mom, was also sick, so we missed our Pumpkin Run reunion with her and Mr. Lindsey (but we got to see them for a bit this weekend when Fran was here for her high school reunion - Yay!).

Madeline is Jordan from the USA gymnastics team, Eli is a bat (very much influenced by our Mammoth Cave trip), and Susanna is a "horsey!"  

Cute puppy Ella is also dressed up in a jack-o-lantern sweater!!!  

There are always pictures I missed ... this time, I wish I had one of Nonna, Dada, Tim and me with all the kids... got the kids, but missed the grown ups!!!!  Note to self for next year!

Nonna and Lauren Ashley really took care of pushing Eli! We were so impressed with little Ella's stamina!  She walked almost the entire time!

Almost done - we kinda have a tradition of stopping at the 2 mile mark because it's right by the kids' area, and because we are usually at the very end of the group!  (At one point this year, the police car that brings up the rear actually passed us and had to park and wait for us to catch up!)  All our stopping/starting, kids wanting to walk, not wanting to walk make for a very leisurely stroll!!! So trimming off the last mile is a great idea!

Hooray! Ice cream!  I remember this ice cream event exactly five years ago... Madeline was eating ice cream at the Pumpkin Run .... she was just learning to eat after lots of wonderful therapy! I'll never forget how special Ben and Jerry's at the Pumpkin Run is to our family!!!! 

Still a favorite - Susanna can't waste a single drop - good stuff!
