Countdown to the Pumpkin Run

It is October!!!  Hooray!  Our favorite time of the year, and it really feels like fall is here!  We have something to do every weekend in October which makes for a crazy month, but really fun, too!  So, in just 4 days is the 8th annual Pumpkin Run for Le Bonheur!!!  We have participated in 5 out of the 7 previous races, and now we make sure we don't miss a single one!  Our second year, I was pregnant with Eli and the race was ON his due date (although he did not make his debut for five more days!)!  It's the same exact date again this year, 5 years later!  So, October 13 is the big race day!  We have a team called 

"Tigers for Le Bonheur" which encompasses all our Tigers - Mizzou and Memphis!

You all know why we love Le Bonheur so much, and we know this great place helps so many other children, too.  To the people of Le Bonheur, every child matters, and no child is ever turned away - even if he cannot pay.  For this reason, on their original opening day, June 15, 1952, a key was released tied to a bunch of balloons symbolizing that the doors would never be locked or closed to any child.
