Susanna's Last Day at Special Kids

And again, the end of an era!  This is our last day as students enrolled at Special Kids!  We will certainly come to visit and support this wonderful organization!

Today is Susanna's last day!  She will be going to Miss Alyson's House one day a week and two mornings a week at Downtown Elementary preschool (hopefully - haven't heard for sure yet!).

Playing London Bridge with good buddies, Owen, Clemmens and Logan!

This is Owen's last day, too...

Sweet class!  Logan, Liam, Susanna, Seth, Clemmens, and Owen.
Her teachers were Ms. Kate, Ms. Kathy and Ms. Ann!

Ms. Kate - Susanna just loved her Ms. Kate!

Eli's last day of Kindergarten

Again (I feel like I say this on every post!!!), I can't believe we are at the end of Kindergarten!  This year has just FLOWN by - literally.  It seems to just get faster and faster - I remember my parents saying this, and now I totally get it!

Eli has learned so much and enjoyed every day of school!  He has come home so excited about setting a leprechaun trap in March, creating a paper mache earth, and reading books!  Mrs. Ward and Ms. Mary Beth do an outstanding job preparing these kids for first grade -this was no easy task this year with a class of all boys and just one girl!  Quite an active bunch!!!

Yesterday, Eli's class had an end of the year family picnic - the last day of school!
It is so fun to see all the kids playing and visit with all the parents!

Eli and some of his buddies!

Annual snow cones!

More buddies!

Mrs. Ward makes these awesome cookies every year!

Love what Eli wrote on the banner, "I love school!"

Another chance to play with the life size Jenga!

Thank you, Mrs. Ward - what a special  and unique teacher.  Keeping kindergarten traditional and full of play yet teaching them all the skills they need for first grade!

Ms. Mary Beth - a great partner with Mrs. Ward.

Fantastic way to end Kindergarten!

End of 3rd Grade Skate Party

First of all, I cannot believe it is the end of 3rd grade already!  I can't believe Madeline is reading books like Harry Potter and Little House on the Prairie.  I can't believe she is practicing multiplication facts and learning division.  She has just grown up so much and interacts like a big kid now… I guess she is ready for fourth grade, but I just cannot believe it!

Every year, each class has an end of the year party.  Third grade had theirs at the skating rink!  One of their favorite places!

Kids having so much fun!  Love Ms. Osias -- we are REALLY going to miss her!

Madeline missed having Frances in her class this year - especially after first and second grade together.  Maybe they will be in the same class next year!

Super fun friends, Savannah and Melody!

Go Madeline!

Lots of fun celebrating a great year!

Jake and Morgen's Wedding

The big day is finally here!  My cousin Jake got married this past weekend!
We are so excited for them!!!

Here are pics from the rehearsal … The girls are flower girls; Eli was invited to be in the wedding, but decided not to - the clothes and the crowd were a little too much for him to wrap his mind around...

They love to practice!

Such a beautiful place for a wedding!

Yummy food at the rehearsal dinner at an Italian place!

Fun hanging out with Non!

Aww, so adorable!!!

Kindergarten Field Day

Whew - May is a busy month!!  All these special end of the school year things are so fun - they help distract me from being sad that our kiddos are about to be promoted to the next grade -- again, growing up way too fast!!

Here are pics from Eli's field day at Idlewild Kindergarten.  What a super fun day!

Mal's mom, Tracy, got these life sized Jenga blocks for one of her older kids' school carnivals.  They sent her two sets by mistake, so our kids got to enjoy one set!  They LOVED building with these… if you need a school activity that is very interactive and fun - check these out on Amazon!

Throwing a frisbee through the hoop.

Good friends...

Medal ceremony!

Sweet Mrs. Ward - most patient and nurturing kindergarten teacher ever!

Another successful Field Day!
