The FIFTH annual GenerosiTEA Party for Le Bonheur was a wonderful success! It seems like the event grows more and more in attendees each year as well as in the quality of activities! We just have so much fun getting together and planning. We do some planning early in the year, but we start full swing in August!
This year, we raised over $26,000! Our costs were around $4,000 - this is almost all food for the lunch! We have so many things donated, that our costs are really low! We were able to give over $22,000 dollars to Le Bonheur! Last year our money went toward the Comfort Kids program aimed at pain free needle pokes. This year, we plan to continue providing Buzzy Bees (a pain blocking aid for blood draws and shots) to the hospital and the local pediatricians' offices as well as offer nursing continuing education scholarships! We are very excited about these plans!
Now for the pictures! We had a really fun time!
The tea party is just a couple of hours, but loaded with fun!

The attendees got to decorate a Buzzy Bee! A wonderful tool that blocks pain during a needle stick! Madeline has experienced the "magic" of Buzzy during a blood draw and now requests one anytime she needs a "poke!"
Ramona from Le Bonheur is spear heading the Comfort Kids campaign! Here, she is holding 100 Buzzy Bees that will equip the hospitals' phlebotomists and local pediatricians' offices!
Lauren Ashley and her friend Hannah took great care of Madeline and Susanna to make sure they had an awesome time since I had to work a lot of the time….
