Eli's Christmas Program

Every year, the Idlewild Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten have a singing program!  They dress up in these cute choir robes and do such a great job!  Little Angel voices!

The Nutcracker

One of our family's favorite Christmas traditions is seeing The Nutcracker at The Orpheum! We love the ballet and our violin teacher plays in the orchestra - so we have a good time listening and watching! Ballet Memphis makes huge efforts so that all families can enjoy their shows. They offer $5 seats!!! So, we do that every year and end up with pretty good seats every time!

This year, Eli went with his Kindergarten class!

We had our family tickets also, but I didn't think Eli would want to go again just 3 days later!  The year in between visits helps to build up the anticipation and excitement to see the show!!  So, we had a girls day with Lindsey and Mrs. Amy!

It was a great show, and the dancers came out at the end to greet everyone!

Fun tradition!

Ballet Parent Observation Class

We got to see one of Madeline's ballet classes!  At the end of the fall semester, Miss Rachel invites the parents to watch all the new skills the dancers have learned!

More than skill improvement - it brings me so much joy to watch her having so much fun!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!
This year was a little different ... It was our year to go to St. Louis, but Brad was going to Texas to see Tiff's family, and my mom and dad were still in Florida receiving therapy after her fall.  With Christmas right around the corner, we decided to stay home this year and head to St. Louis in a few weeks.  Our Jackson family had an off year, too .... Steven and Vadessa went to see her family, Mark and Kathy couldn't come up this year, so we had Nonna and Dada, Aunt Beth and Uncle Morris and a family from our church join us for Thanksgiving dinner at our house.

Here is Daddy preparing the turkey for roasting!

Eli is peeling potatoes!  This is his second year for this job and getting pretty proficient!

Madeline and Susanna are mashing up potatoes...

Carving the turkey....

Eli and Daddy arguing over the wishbone!

Daddy won!

Madeline folding napkins ...

Dinner time!

Some evening entertainment!

Although we didn't get to see all our family, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Our friends Lindsay, Josiah and Gynneth!

The girls....

The boys....

These three miracles - what joys to be thankful for!

Chilling out before bed reading some Thanksgiving stories!

Happy Thanksgiving!
